Language Options for Candidates: A More Inclusive Assessment Experience

Updated by Amy Thomas

Hiring is hard enough when candidates are evaluating you as much as you’re evaluating them. With Assessment Languages, you can let candidates complete their application in a language they’re most comfortable with, creating a smoother, more accessible experience that helps the right talent shine.

Assessment Languages enable you to choose which languages candidates can select when they begin an application.

Why it matters - for you and your candidates

✔️ Deliver a better candidate experience: Candidates can navigate the application and complete supported assessments in their chosen language, reducing confusion and friction, especially for global and multilingual hiring.

✔️ Increase completion rates: When candidates can read instructions and content clearly, they’re more likely to finish the application and stay engaged through the process.

✔️ Support fairer outcomes: Language barriers can mask capability. Giving candidates the option to apply in a supported language helps ensure you’re measuring what matters - skills and fit- not fluency in a single language.

✔️ Strengthen your employer brand globally: A multilingual assessment experience signals respect for candidates and readiness for global talent, an advantage in competitive markets.

A language experience that fits your workflow

Once enabled for a job, candidates select their preferred language as they enter the application. Your default language is used for the invitation email and any communication before the candidate chooses. After that, the candidate experience displays in their chosen language.

Supported languages in the candidate experience

Assessment Languages supports a wide range of options, including:

English, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Czech, French (Canada), French (France), German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Romanian, Slovak, Spanish (Latin America), Spanish (Spain), Swedish, Turkish

Note: dialects are treated as separate language options.
