Why TEAMscan is Conducted at the Team Level (And What to Do If You Get Multiple Invites)

TEAMscan: A Team-Specific Tool for Actionable Insights

TEAMscan is not a generic engagement survey—it’s a team development tool designed to provide specific, actionable insights into how a particular team functions. Unlike company-wide surveys, which give a broad, organization-level view, TEAMscan helps individual teams improve collaboration, communication, and effectiveness

Why You Might Get Multiple TEAMscan Invitations

Since TEAMscan is team-specific, you may receive multiple invitations if:

✅ You work on more than one team.

✅ You are part of a project team in addition to your core team.

✅ You manage multiple teams or participate in cross-functional groups.

While receiving multiple invites might seem redundant, each TEAMscan assesses a different team dynamic. The way you interact in one team may differ significantly from another, and each team’s results will be used by the team leader to drive targeted improvements.

What Should You Do If You Get Multiple Invites?

🔹 Focus on your "Primary Team"

Most people work predominantly with one main team—if that's you, just complete the TEAMscan for that team.

🔹 If You Work Closely With Two or Three Teams

If your role is split between multiple teams, it’s helpful to complete TEAMscan for up to two or three teams where you have the most influence and collaboration.

🔹 For Less Active Teams

If you’re part of a team but don’t regularly contribute to its work, you can skip the survey for that team

Why We Don't Just Do One Company-Wide TEAMscan

A single, company-wide survey won’t provide useful insights for individual teams. Here’s why:

Loss of Granularity – Team-level challenges get buried in averages.

Not Actionable – A generic company-wide score doesn’t tell managers what to improve

Context Matters – Different teams function differently—what works for the Sales team may not work for Engineering.

Best Practices for Taking TEAMscan

📌 Choose the teams that matter most – Prioritize taking TEAMscan for your primary team and any other team where your input is valuable

📌 Answer based on that team’s unique dynamics – Focus your responses on your experience within each specific team rather than your general work environment.

📌 Encourage team participation – The more responses your team gathers, the more accurate and useful the insights will be.

Final Thought: TEAMscan Helps You and Your Team Improve

By focusing on team-specific insights, TEAMscan enables real improvements in collaboration, decision-making, communication, and psychological safety. Participating helps your team work better together and makes your daily work experience smoother and more effective

🔹 When in doubt, take TEAMscan for your primary 1-2 teams and ignore the rest.

🔹 Your input matters—help your team improve by sharing your experience!
