Organizational Roles and Responsibilities in Making the TEAMscan a Cultural Habit

Updated by Amy Thomas

High-performing organizations have cultures built around proven habits and processes. These are managed by reliable tools that make them so easy to do consistently that they become the default behavior.

To get the most out of Develop, different organizational members have different roles and responsibilities when it comes to making this happen. These include:

As an admin or organizational leader...
  1. It’s your role to make sure that team leaders / managers are set up in the system and are regularly taking the TEAMscan.
    1. Our suggested frequency for TEAMscans is every 4 weeks as a starting point at the individual team level and every 3 months at the organizational level.
  2. Then you want to create the organizational habits so that team leaders are:
    1. Reflecting on their results and sharing these reflections with their managers in 1:1s.
    2. Having conversations about their results with their teams in a structured way.
    3. Building lightweight action plans from these results that they share with their managers and check in on during 1:1s.
    4. Having Coach Bo conversations with our manager coaching Coachbot every 1-2 weeks at least to grow.
As a manager of managers...
  1. Supporting the above process and “resurfacing” the action plans and team results in 1:1s.
As a team leader...
  1. Scheduling time for these steps on your calendar and modeling real engagement with the process for your team members.
  2. Admitting mistakes and creating a culture where everyone is encouraged to speak up.

How did we do?
