How does the integration work?

  • Once the integration has been activated and all relevant permissions actioned, Criteria Packages', made up of Assessments, a Video Interview or a combination of the two, are created in the Criteria platform and automatically appear in SmartRecruiters.
  • The integration supports both Inline and Recruiter initiated actions, meaning that candidates can be invited to complete and an Assessment and/or Video Interview after the application process or when a status change is triggered in the job. 
  • Once a candidate has completed the Criteria assessment(s), their results will appear in SmartRecruiters within a few seconds and the user will be able to access the Criteria Score Report by clicking the paperclip icon.
  • For candidates who have completed a Video Interview, the Evaluator(s) will be emailed by Criteria to complete their evaluation of the video interview.
  • The candidate status will also be updated in SmartRecruiters.
  • Once the minimum number of evaluators has been reached, the package status will change to Completed and, as with Assessments, users can access the Criteria Score Report by clicking the paperclip icon.

Are there any ongoing costs with the integration?

As a Standard integration, this is a complimentary service for our clients. It will require you to be on our Professional Tier (a lower tier does not provide all functionality)

Time to integrate

Criteria require two business days from sign-off to create the integration with your SmartRecruiters account.

Can I trial the integration before I purchase?

Criteria customers must have a paid subscription before an integration can be created.

Does the integration support assessment and video interviews?

Yes, you can use Criteria packages with Video Interviewing on its own or Video Interviewing and Assessments together. 

For a package that contains both VI and Assessments, once the candidate has completed, the Assessment results become available in your SmartRecruiters account. The results are updated once the Video Interview is fully evaluated and a VI score is available.

Can I send multiple candidates an invitation at the same time?

Yes, you can invite candidates in bulk by moving them all to the requisite status in SmartRecruiters at the same time.

Can I use multiple rounds of testing in my job?

Yes, you can issue testing inline during the application form and on status change/s throughout your Hiring Processes in SmartRecruiters. You can also issue ad-hoc invitations if you need to invite a candidate to a different package.

Can I reuse my candidates' previous results for a new job?

Yes, if you have the Reuse Results function enabled in your Criteria account, you can copy your candidates' existing results to new jobs. When this option is set, the system will automatically identify if a match is found between the candidate and any existing results for the same assessments.

How are the invitations sent?

Candidates may be invited during the application form (inline), on status change or manually. Invitation emails are not sent for the Inline method as they must do the testing immediately. Invitations are sent immediately by Criteria for the status change and manual methods; reminders will be sent as per the configuration in your Criteria account.

Can I send assessments in-line with application?

Yes, using the Hiring Process, you can set your SmartRecruiters account to send the assessment / video interview invitation to your candidates as soon as they complete their application.

When can I see my candidates' results?

The scores will appear in your SmartRecruiters account immediately once the candidate has completed all assessments in the package.

What information will I see for my candidates' results?

For assessments, the following values are provided: Talent Signal, Met All Score Ranges, overall scores per-test and invalid indicators. Your candidates can be filtered by Talent Signal and Met Score Ranges.

For video interviews, the following values are provided: overall score and recommendations​. Your candidates can be filtered on overall score.

A link to the score report is available via the paperclip icon.

Dynamic Score Reports are also supported. Please contact your Criteria account manager to learn more.

Can I invite candidates without sending their personally identifiable information (PII) to Criteria?

Criteria requires the candidate's name and email address in order to send them the invitation email for the status change and manual methods.  

When using Inline, no PII is collected as no email is required for this method.
