Employee Personality Profile: FAQ for Develop

Updated by Amy Thomas

What is the EPP (Employee Personality Profile)?
The EPP is a scientifically validated personality assessment that measures 12 key workplace-relevant personality traits. Used by millions of people globally at leading companies for over 15 years, it provides deep insights into work styles, preferences, and potential. The same 10-minute assessment that helps companies make better hiring decisions can now power personalized development insights through multiple targeted reports.
What makes the EPP different from other personality assessments?
• Scientifically validated with millions of data points
• Used by leading global companies for 15+ years
• Takes only 10 minutes to complete
• Drives multiple practical workplace reports
• Powers personalized AI coaching through Coach Bo
• Focused specifically on workplace-relevant traits
What reports can I get from my EPP results?
Workplace Insights: Personal self-awareness and development
Manager Guide: Personalized management insights for every manager or team leader to better understand and support each direct report or team member
Team Personality Report: Team dynamics and collaboration insights
Collaboration Guide: One-on-one working relationship guidance
How often should I take the EPP?
Completing the assessment once is typically sufficient. Your results can be reused across reports and teams.

You have the option to retake if you feel your preferences have significantly changed. However most value comes from using insights, not retaking frequently.
How is my EPP data used?
• Results inform development opportunities
• Insights help managers better support you
• Team data improves collaboration
• Individual preferences remain private unless you say things that enable you to be identified in your free text responses
• You control sharing settings, but admins and direct managers / team leaders often can see your reports (but not your individual results)
What happens after I take the EPP?
• Immediate access to Workplace Insights
• Manager (and likely team leaders) receive Manager Guide access (if applicable)
• Team insights updated (for team reports)
• Ability to chat with Coach Bo about results
How can I use my results for development?
• Review personal insights thoroughly
• Discuss with manager and/or Coach Bo
• Set a recurring time each week on your home page to chat with Coach Bo (set a goal or reflect on how things are going)
• Create personal development plans
• Share preferences with colleagues as appropriate
