iCIMS Standard vs iCIMS Prime

iCIMS has 2 Assessment connectors that may be used to integrate assessments into your iCIMS ATS.

  • Standard
  • Prime

You will discuss the 2 connectors with your iCIMS rep to decide which suits your purposes best. You may also use these guides and talk to Criteria to help you make a decision. Your iCIMS rep will kick off the process for the chosen connector.

This guide relates to the iCIMS Standard connector. Use the menu item in the sidebar to learn about the iCIMS Prime connector.

Migrating from Criteria's previous iCIMS Standard Integration?

Refer to this page for a Summary of changes/enhancements you should expect to see.

Summary of how Criteria integrates with iCIMS using the Standard Connector

  • The iCIMS Job is configured with the Criteria package in the Assessment Type field.
    • The Criteria assessment packages displayed in iCIMS are your active Criteria Jobs. If you migrated from the previous version of the integration, you may still be using Test Batteries as your packages.
  • Candidates may be invited to Criteria testing during the application process (Inline) or when they are moved into a pre-defined status in the applicant workflow (Recruiter Initiated).
  • Once the candidate has completed their assessment, the scores and report will appear on the candidate's profile in iCIMS.
  • The Criteria scores/fields that you choose are also added into custom fields on the iCIMS candidate or application.(optional, requires additional setup)
  • This integration supports 2 rounds of testing. The 2nd Criteria package is selected in the Assessment Type field on the iCIMS Job. (optional, requires additional setup)
  • This integration supports issuing packages containing Assessments, Video Interviewing, Assessments and Video Interviewing together and Live Interviewing.
    • If you migrated from the previous version of the integration, you may still be using Test Batteries as your packages. If so, your integration will not support Video Interviewing on it's own or Live Interviewing until you migrate your packages to using Jobs.
Limitations of the integration
  • If you were originally using the previous version of the integration, your integration may still be using Test Batteries as the packages in iCIMS. If so, your integration will not support Video Interviewing Only or Live Interviewing packages. You can migrate your integration to using Jobs as your packages to receive full functionality. Until you migrate, you can only use packages containing Assessments or Assessment + Video together in the same stage.

Integration FAQ: what you need to know

How much does it cost to integrate Criteria with iCIMS on the Standard Connector?

As a Standard integration, this is a complimentary service for our clients. You will require a Professional, Professional Plus or Talent Success Suite subscription to access the iCIMS Standard integration.

Please reach out to your Criteria account manager for further information on costs.

To learn more about any potential costs from iCIMS, we recommend contacting your account manager at iCIMS.

Time to integrate

It may take two weeks from sign-off to create the Standard integration with your iCIMS account, however this may vary depending on the complexity of the setup requirements.

Can I trial the integration before I purchase?

Criteria customers must have a paid subscription before an integration can be created.

Does this integration support assessment and structured interviews?

It certainly does! Depending on how you set up your invitation process, when your candidates apply or when they are progressed to the Criteria step in iCIMS, they are sent an invitation to complete the assessment or video interview. Once the candidate has completed, the results become available in your iCIMS account.

Note: there are some limitations if your integration uses Test Batteries as the package in iCIMS, refer above.

Can I send multiple candidates an invitation at the same time?

Yes, if you are using the Recruiter Initiated method, you can invite candidates in bulk by moving them all to the requisite status in iCIMS at the same time.

Can I use multiple rounds of testing in my job?

Yes, you may issue up to 2 packages per candidate. You will require a 2nd status in your applicant workflow to facilitate the 2nd Criteria package.

Can I reuse my candidates' previous results for a new job?

Yes, if you have the Reuse Assessment Results function enabled in your Criteria account, you can copy your candidates' existing results to new jobs. When this option is set, the system will automatically identify if a match is found between the candidate and any existing results for the same assessments.

How are the invitations sent?

Your candidates are created in your Criteria account immediately during the application process or you changed their status (depending on which method you are using), which sends them the invitation email.

Can I send assessments in-line with application?

Yes, you can link out to the Criteria assessments or video interview during the application process.

When can I see my candidates' results?

The assessment data will appear in your iCIMS account immediately once the candidate completes.

If the package only contains assessments, the full results will be available.

If the package contains an interview, the report link (which can be used to access the evaluation portal) and any assessment results will be available immediately. ICIMS will be updated to include the interview score once the minimum number of evaluations are completed.

What information will I see for my candidates' results?

For assessments, the following values are provided: Talent Signal, Met All Score Ranges and per-test scores.

For video interviews, the following values are provided: Overall Score and Recommendations.

A live link to the score report is provided. The report will be displayed in your preferred format - PDF or Dynamic Score Report.

There are also some configuration options available in regard to report format and scores displayed in iCIMS so reach out to Criteria if you have specific requirements.

Can I invite candidates without sending their personally identifiable information (PII) to Criteria?

No, Criteria requires the candidate's name and email address in order to send them the invitation email.
